Background: Burundi’s imports are increasing every day and exports not showing real growth to cover the trade deficit, which can affect country’s balance cause slow down economic growth. Both have an influence on economy as a result of foreign commerce. Exports regarded contribution national income economy, whereas outflow from economy. According research, both direct indirect beneficial benefits negative impact revenue. Purpose: The goal this research is look at Case description: Using theories guide, quantitative technique was utilized analyze yearly time-series data reported Gross Domestic Product (GDP), collected World Bank websites, 1978 2020. exports, imports, were studied using econometric analysis Ordinary Least Square linear regression. Conclusion: study’s findings, there positive significant long-run causality between GDP, gross capital formation, exchange rate factors, while in doesn’t GDP. A one-percentage-point increase export values causes GDP rise by 0.24 percent, 0.31 percent.
